Do you accept my insurance?
We currently accept Aetna, Cigna, Carelon, Blue Cross Blue Shield and United. Insurance coverage varies by plan, so we recommend reaching out or having us verify your specific benefits before your first appointment. How do I know what my insurance will cover?
Every plan is different — some cover therapy in full after a copay, others apply it toward a deductible first. We're happy to verify your benefits on your behalf before your first session, so there are no surprises. Just provide your insurance information when you schedule, or send it ahead of time to info@directwellnessoftampabay.com or call (727) 594-0267.What if my insurance isn't accepted, or I have a high deductible?
If we're not in-network with your plan, or your deductible hasn't been met, we can discuss self-pay rates and where applicable, provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Will using insurance affect my privacy?
Using insurance for therapy typically requires a diagnosis to be submitted for reimbursement, and your insurer may have access to limited treatment information as part of claims processing. If privacy is a significant concern for you, we're glad to talk through self-pay options as an alternative.Do you offer a sliding scale?
I offer sliding scale rates that we can discuss privately. What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept major credit/debit cards and HSA/FSA cards.Do I need a referral to start therapy?
In most cases, no referral is needed to begin therapy — though some insurance plans may require one for reimbursement. We recommend checking with your specific plan if you're unsure.
